A-Plus upset over Akuapem Poloo’s 90-day imprisonment sentence

Musician-turned-political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, known popularly as Kwame A Plus, has vented his fury at the country’s judicial system following the 90-day sentence handed to actress, Akuapem Poloo over the publication of nude pictures.

Mr. Obeng indicated that enforcement of the laws of the land has an estranged relationship with the rule of law owing it is biased.

According to him, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo embezzled the COVID-19 funds but he is unpunished and an innocent Akuapem Poloo has been jailed.

In his view, real criminals who milk the nation dry of its resources are unprosecuted but petty criminals face the music adding that such practice will encourage thievery in the country.

“But the person who stole and sold food meant for poor people during the lockdown is walking free. We spent 19 billion Ghana cedis on Covid-19 yet people were fed plain rice and pepper,” he said in an Instagram post after the judgment.

A Plus added that “Akufo Addo managed Covid-19 well Akufo Addo managed Covid-19 well” who said if you give Akua Donkoh 19 billion she won’t be able to manage Covid-19 well?

Leave this poor girl alone. I disagree with the law Always arresting and jailing people for petty crimes and misdemeanours while the real criminals walk freely and continue to steal with impunity”.
