Ghana’s COVID-19 deaths rise to 647

Ghana has recorded 647 novel coronavirus related deaths.

Per the latest figures released by the Ghana Health Service on its website 373 new cases have been recorded.

This now puts the country’s case count at 86,465 with a total of 80,952 recoveries.

The country has also seen a significant drop in active cases as 4,866 Ghanaians are yet to recovery from the disease.

Out of the 175, 894 samples taken at the Kotoka International Airport since September 2020, 647 ,250 came out positive of which 1,122 have recovered.

In the meantime, 66 persons have their cases classified as severe while 24 remain critical with none on a ventilator.

So far, all the 16 regions in Ghana have recorded cases of the virus.
