A journalist with Citi FM and TV, Caleb Kudah, has been apprehended by armed National Security personnel for reportedly filming at their premises while awaiting a friend.
According to them, the Ministry of National Security premises is a security zone hence audiovisual recording is prohibited.
Following his arrest, a heavily armed National Security personnel in a ‘Rambo-style’ operation stormed Citi FM at Adabraka in three pick-ups to also whisk his colleague, Zoe Abu-Baidoo, whom he had sent the unauthorised filmed material to.
But management of the media house resisted her arrest and together with Ms Abu-Baidoo followed the personnel to the Ministry of National Security to assist with investigations.
She was allowed to go after questioning.
The alumnus of the University of Ghana, Caleb Kudah, who anchors the mid-day news on Citi FM and hosts About Town on Citi TV is still at the National Security custody.
