The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has in a statement rescinded its decision to terminate the contract of appointment of, Madam Gertrude Quashigah, as its acting National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).
According to the Ministry in a letter dated, May 21, 2021, it committed an ‘administrative error’ sacking the acting National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).
“This is to inform you of my decision to withdraw my earlier letter dated 18th May 2021.”
“I wish to state that my earlier letter was as a result of an administrative error,” the statement available to Original News read.
Earlier, the sector minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo, directed her to hand over all official documents or property in her possession to the Chief Director of the Ministry.
“You will be paid one month’s salary in lieu of notice as stipulated in your contract agreement,” the letter intimated.
The letter failed to divulge what caused her sack.
But Madam Quashigah has recently come under severe criticisms for food supplies meant for Free SHS were diverted by headmasters, headmistress, accountants, and bursars of Senior High Schools across the country.
