Ghana Armed Forces to conduct 4-day anti-terrorism training exercise

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has, in a press statement, announced that it will commence an anti-terrorism training exercise in some designated areas.

The four-day training exercise will begin from Monday, 24 to Friday, 28 May 2021.

“The exercise is a four-day field simulation training aimed at resting and preparing participants of the ongoing Operations Conquered Fist to ensure efficiency at role and mission accomplishment,” the statement signed by Colonel E. Aggrey Quarshie, Director Public Relations said.

According to the statement available to Original News, the exercise is under the code-named ‘Exercise Eagle Claws 2021’ in the Northern Sector of the Country.

“in view of this, there will be movement of military personnel and hardware to the designated areas,” the statement added.

GAF, therefore, wishes to inform the general public especially those living within the affected areas to remain calm during the training period as measures to ensure the safety of personnel and the public have been put in place.
