One fisherman at the Revilla Beach, Jamestown in Accra has attributed the dead fish wash ashore in the coastal area of the country on Friday to the doing of God.
Kofi Mpiri, 43, said the almighty God presented the fish to them as a gift for the celebration of Easter adding it is his first time observing dead fish being wash ashore.
Despite concerns the fish were poisoned therefore unsafe for human consumption, Mr. Mpiri maintains such assertions are wholly false owing he and his family have consumed the washed-ashore fish and still alive and healthy.
“We initially thought it was unsafe but we were later persuaded by our senior brothers that God gave it to us,” he told Metro TV’s Gabriel Ashong in an interview.
He continued “My mind tells me that God or, I don’t know.” Stating categorically that, “It is God who gave it to us for Easter celebration.”
“Throughout my life, I’m almost 43 years old I have not seen some before” he added.
