The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mr. Ernest Addison, has cautioned the public against impersonators on various social media platforms.
He said he does not have any social media account to his name adding that any account purporting to be him is a sham and impersonating him.
Mr. Addison, therefore, urged the public to disregard such an account and treated it with the contempt it deserves.
“Any social media account using the name of the Governor is fake and an impersonation,” Ernestina Addison said in a statement on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
It further asked the public to report all “impersonations to the Cyber Security Unit of the Ghana Police Service or the Bank of Ghana”.
“Please note that any engagement with such accounts is at your own risk,’ the statement cautioned.
