JHS student, friends brutally beat teacher over homework at Nungua

A final year Junior High School pupil and his fifteen friends have attacked his teacher after punishing him over his failure to submit his homework.

The pupil, who attends Kroma 2 JHS at Nungua, a suburb of Accra got furious after he received lashes from the teacher as a punishment for his inability to do the homework.

He runs home after he was punished, gathered his friends in a Sprinter Bus, and stormed the school to assault the teacher leaving the teacher with bruises all over his face.

The teacher identified as, Mr Moses Onyameasem, was rescued by his colleagues and rushed to the LEKMA Hospital to seek medical treatment.

After the attack, the mother of the student was also alleged to have besieged the school and rained insults on the teacher.

The development led to the closure of the school and others in the area. However, after a stakeholder engagement, the school will resume next week Monday, March 21, 2021.

Meanwhile, the said student and his accomplices are yet to be arrested subsequently arraigned.
