Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa Central Constituency in the Central Region, Mrs. Naana Eyiah Quansah, has been appointed for the Deputy Interior Minister position.
Madam Quansah is among the ten prominent women appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to occupy the vacant positions of deputy ministers in his second tenure in office.
Her appointment is subject to Parliament approval.
In light of this, she is expected to appear before the 26-member Appointments Committee of Parliament to make a case for the approval of her position on a yet-to-be scheduled date.
If approved, the Gomoa Central lawmaker will assist the sector minister, Ambrose Dery, in implementing government policies and ensure the safety of every Ghanaian throughout her term in office.
The 58-year-old who’s serving her second term as a legislature was the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in President Akufo-Addo’s first term.
