Original FM receives 3 nominations in Ghana Media Personality Awards 2021

Original FM has received three nominations for the 2021 Ghana Media Personality Awards announced on Tuesday May 12.

Less than three months after officially commencing its programmes transmission, Original 91.9FM, a subsidiary of the Ignite Media Group, has snagged three nominations in the maiden edition of the Ghana Media Personality Awards (GMPA).

The Ghana Media Personality Awards seeks to recognise, celebrate, and reward the contribution of personalities with exemplary vision in shaping the future of Ghana’s media industry.

GMPA is exclusively designed to bring together all personalities in the radio, print, and television industry in Ghana, this annual event is to also drive the media to strive towards excellence in their total output.

Original Inspiration and the Trinity Show host, Godfred Dankwah Junior (Man Godee), made it for Radio Gospel Show Host of the Year.

The Ghana DJ Awards Ambassador and 2021 Foklex Media Awards nominee, Daniel Mensah Badu, famously known in the showbiz industry as DJ Aberga, who joined Original 91.9FM from Power FM earned a nomination in the DJ of the Year category.

Enterprising news anchor, Pomaah Kyekyeku, who recently bagged a Master of Arts in Media Development degree from the prestigious Ghana Institute of Journalism, has also been nominated as Radio Female Newscaster of the Year.

Ignite Media Group is home to Metro TV which operates under the tagline; ‘Insightful and Inspiring Moments’, Original 91.9FM and Original TV, and also digital news portals Metrotvonline.com and Originalfmonline.com.

The Ghana Media Personality Awards (GMPA) promises to serve as a springboard for many who aspire to reach higher heights with their work and with this being the inaugural awards, it also provides a platform for recognizing the great works and impact of communication practitioners in Ghana.

The 2021 GMPA is scheduled for 3 July 2021 at the National Theatre in Accra.
