The Minister of Sanitation and Natural Resources, Cecilia Dapaah, today, May 20, 2021, commissioned the Kumasi Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The project was founded by the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC) in Ghana, in partnership with PURECO Group of Companies in Hungary.
The 20-million Euro plant, with a capacity of 1,000 cubic metres per day, is situated on a 22,000 square metres with the capacity to receive and treat 150 cesspit tanks of liquid waste trucks in a day.
Some personalities present at the event were; Minister of State in charge of Works and Housing, Hon. Freda Prempeh, Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Andras Szabo, Vice Chancellor of KNUST Madam Rita Dickson, Chief Executive Office of Pureco Group of Companies, Baliant Horvath. Executive Director of Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong among others.
