Leader and founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah will be processed for court today, Monday, September 13, 2021 after his arrest on Sunday.
The outspoken preacher and three others were picked up after allegedly assaulting uniformed police officers.
Pocket of news reports suggest the police besieged his church premises to cause his arrest over a viral video capturing his body guards with weapons at the residence of popular priestess-turn-evangelist, Patience Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.
However, the body guards of the preacher who boasts as the Spiritual Father of the President resisted arrested and injured some officers in the process.
Prior to Rev. Owusu Bempeh and his guards storming the controversial priestess’ residence, she had infuriated them.
A statement issued by the Ghana Police and signed by the Acting Director, Public Affairs Unit of the Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori available to Original 91.9FM, said “The suspects are being detained for further investigations over the creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, the brandishing of a weapon and the assault of some police personnel.”
Checks by Originalfmonline.com indicate the injured policemen have received medical attention and are responding to treatment.
