The Chief Executive of the Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA), Richard Dombo is dead.
Mr Dombo died on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, after an illness.
He reportedly tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in January 2021 and died from the complications, Original News has learned.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appointed Richard Dombo as the CEO of GRDA in 2017.
Until his appointment, he served as the operations manager for southwest rail, one of the largest rail operators in the UK and has played various roles in the sector since 1994.
Mr Dombo, who was also a lawyer is the son of the late Chief Simon Diedong Dombo, one of the founders of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia political tradition, which gave birth to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
