Sack LEKMA MCE – Assembly Members to Akufo-Addo

Assembly Members in the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LEKMA), in the Greater Accra Region, are calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack their acting Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum Dwamera, over her abysmal performance.

They claim Mrs. Twum Dwamera is the worst Municipal Executive Officer the municipality has ever had compared to the likes of Daniel Amartey Mensah and Seth Badu Tawiah her predecessors.

Almost all 12 assembly members including the presiding member who belongs to the NPP are on the neck of the MCE to be fired immediately.

Speaking to Original 91.9FM’s Daniel Mensah Badu in an interview, the aggrieved assembly members registered their dissatisfaction with the performance of the MCE who was appointed by President Akufo-Addo in January 2017.

“We are praying that very soon we get a new MCE. We want action-oriented MCE, so, we, the assembly members, as we are action-oriented in the electoral area, can work with,” Hon. Jonathan Sowah, assembly member for Tsuibleoo North said.

“She’s not performing. Since she came to office she cannot pinpoint a single project she has been able to put up in the constituency, so, the best is if we need development the government needs to reappoint her,” the Penny Agblizaa assembly member, Hon. Charles Kotey added.

“The MCE is a bomb (sic). Our MCE from Ledzokuku is a bomb,” the presiding member, Hon. Richard Ayerh asserted.

Also, the Okesekor electoral area assembly member, Hon. Kabu Saint described the Municipal Chief Executive Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) tenure in office as the worst of its kind adding she should be sacked.

“This MCE is the worst MCE Ledzokuku has ever had. The MCE is supposed to be more or less like the development leader at the assembly as we speak we can’t boast the assembly revenue generated cannot pay the assembly staff. She has not lived up to expectations. She’s not doing anything to increase the revenue or get the community on what needs to be done in terms of development. We all know the assembly is the vehicle of development in the municipality but this MCE does not think (sic). She does not understand anything about the assembly system,”  Hon. Kabu noted.

He added that “She’s not already to learn   She is thinking of her selfish interest. Anything that will benefit the community is not her interest”.
