CPP debunks disunity media reportage

The Convention’s People Party (CPP) says it is completely false that there is a battle of supremacy within the ranks of the party.

Speaking at a news conference at the party headquarters in Accra on Monday, July 12, 2021, Nana Akosua Frimponmaa Sarpong Kumankuma, chairperson of CPP stated unambiguously that there’s no cause of alarm stressing the Nkrumah-founded party is back for good.

If there’s any conflict, Nana Akosua observed that the party structure will be used to resolve such dispute amicably.

“I, Nana Frimpomaa, Chair and Leader of the CPP wish to state emphatically that there is no cause for alarm within the rank and file of the party and that any internal wrangling will be dealt with using the party structures.”

“Yes, indeed, they are back at it again. Proponents of CPP distractors are at it again but this time the party will not tolerate these defeatist theories. The only alternative for Ghana is CPP and we cannot afford to disappoint the Ghanaian people,” she told the press.

She expressed optimism that the CPP will return to power and together with Ghanaians they will help fix the country.

Madam Sarpong Kumankuma went on to urge the youth to persist in demanding their rights but cautioned them to refrain from stepping in the way of security personnel because they “take instructions from heartless superiors” adding “We need you and your family alive to fix your thumb on CPP.

“The shameful and criminal acts in Ejura and Wa should never happen again and that government should take full responsibility. Ghana is not under military regime, we are governed by the 1992 constitution and every Ghanaian should defend the constitution. We will fix Ghana together.”
