Mahama to speak after election petition ruling

Former President, John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to speak for the first time after the Supreme Court dismissed his petition challenging the validity of the Electoral Commission’s (EC) declaration of the 2020 presidential election.

The broadcast, according to one of Mr Mahama’s spokespersons in the dismissed election petition, Abraham Amaliba, will be aired at 5 pm.

According to him, the speech will be broadcasted live from the office of the former President in Cantonments, Accra.

Mr Amaliba made the disclosure after the 7-member panel headed by Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah threw out Mr Mahama’s case, stating it had no merit.

“We just heard the judgement of the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, we are not able to address you now. We shall however address you through our flagbearer at 5 pm at his office,” Amaliba announced.
