Sports Ministry denies agreeing to pay Milovan $45k a month to coach Black Stars

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has denied agreeing with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to pay Milovan Rajevac $45,000 a month to be the next coach of the Black Stars.

The ministry in a statement said it is aware of the processes of engaging a new coach for the Black Stars but the process has not been brought to the attention of the ministry.

It said the ministry is waiting for a report from the GFA on the engagement of a new coach for the senior national team.

Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac has been tipped to be the next coach of the senior national team, Black Stars. following the exit of Coach C.K Akonnor.

Akonnor was sacked after Ghana lost 0-1 to South Africa in a world cup qualifying match and beat Ethiopia 1-0 in an unconvincing home match.
